A little warning for those whittlers/carvers who take long vacations, and plan to get in lots of whittlin and carvin. Play close attention to your tools. If you are like me, you don't travel with a power sharpening system. I just pack lots of wood and my strop. This means that you had better strop often to maintain the edge on the tools. This is especially true when whittlin with a knife. I usually do strop often, but sometimes I get into the "zone" and forget. Worse case scenario is having to reestablish the sharp cutting edge by hand.
