Cost of Whittling At The Diner!

The best part of using a pocket knife is being able to whittle just about any place you may find yourself.  Since I eat my breakfast at a local diner every day, this is where I do considerable whittling.  This is also one of the reasons for whittling small items - little mess to clean up.  I usually whittle small Santa pins, leprechaun pins, and Uncle Sam pins.  I keep many of the pins until just prior to the appropriate holiday.  At that time I ensure my permissions to whittle at the diner by giving a handful of the pins to the owner and the waitresses.  The pins are then given to some favorite customers.  

Tomorrow morning I'll be taking a couple of handfuls of Santa pins to the diner.
