What Grandpa Never Told Me..........

The complete title of this posting is WHAT GRANDPA NEVER TOLD ME ABOUT WHITTLING AND CARVING. My Grandpa used to sit on the porch with his pocket knife and whittle. Some of his buddies would stop by and they'd all whittle. Neither my sister nor I remember Grandpa ever whittling or carving anything. I do remember him giving me my first pocket knife, and showing me how to put a point on a stick. I remember it being fun. And I remember getting in trouble with my pointed stick......My sister remembers it better than I do. I will list several things that Grandpa never told me about whittling/carving. It would give me great pleasure if you added some items too..........JUST LEAVE A COMMENT, THAT IS YOUR CONTRIBUTION TO the statement "What Grandpa never told me about whittling or carving." 1. Whittling and carving leaves a mess..........that should be cleaned up. 2. There might be a difference between whittling and carving. 3. Wood chips may migrate into your shoes and shorts. 4. Wood chips can season your coffee. 5. 6. Only blog members can leave a comment.......if you're not a member and you want to leave comments......just become a member! Sorry about that membership thing, but there are too many spammers out there that post their crap if we don't limit comments to members.....Hey! It's free.....So become a member!
