Civil War Soldier

Here's an example of how to proceed from a paper pattern to a blank cutout, and on to the roughing in, and finally the detail.  This little example is whittled from a  three inches tall by about 3/4 inch piece of Basswood.  The finish is several coats of HOWARD FEED-N-WAX.
