From time to time I like slow down my whittling. When I do this it lets me focus more on how I am whittling. How to improve, maybe! To slow down, I will take the time to photograph my whittling progress. Perhaps someone maybe able to follow along and see how to whittle a specific piece.
This time, I'll be whittling a standing three inch Gnome. I need to whittle a couple dozen of these, so they tend to go fast.
You can see that the style is kind of a modified flat plane.
We'll start this tomorrow. Well I'll be starting it tonight, but will post tomorrow.
I'll be using my new MURRAY/Mertz knife.
