Christmas Gnome 2013 (Continued)
Damion asked a good question (comments). I draw the Gnome on a piece of flat Basswood. The largest thickness I use is one inch. I whittle one inch thick Gnomes as well as 1/2 inch thick. When I use the one inch thick flat wood, I cut the arms out of 3/8 inch thick flat Basswood. With the 3/8 inch thick Gnome the arms are cut from 1/4 inch thick flat Basswood.

Thanks Tom. I always wondered if you were using square stock. I haven't purchased a scroll yet to cut my blanks out, so it's slow going for me.
