A Quick Nixon Gnome!

Some times super quick whittlin can be fun, a lot of fun. This little ( 2" counting the hat) Richard Nixon Gnome is a result of super quick whittlin. Anybody who draws/sketches with a pencil has probably tried to do a super quick drawing. The results can be interesting. I applied this same idea to a piece of Basswood and a pocket knife. The first thing I did was cut out the blank of Basswood in the shape of a Gnome, with a larger head. Next I googled up a drawing of Nixon and within a few minutes this emerged. Very soon I'll be doing some other celebrities in this same super quick manner. Give it a try, you'll be surprised with your results.

Seems like I can't do anything quick.
I guess I should try some smaller projects. I do mostly human and animals on a larger scale.
Nice work.
