Keystone Cop!

While taking my morning coffee at the diner one of the fellas mentioned that a cop buddy of his was retiring.  I thought, well maybe I'd whittle a small piece for such an occasion.   Here's the prototype.  It's kind of crude, but it illustrates the usefulness of a quick prototype.  I sketched the cop on a 1/2" piece of Basswood, in profile.  Next I cut out the blank and started whittlin.  This prototype lets me discover weaknesses and flaws in both design, technique, sequence of cuts, and finishing.  I'll whittlin one more, and incorporate the improvements that the prototype highlighted.
